HEHE! #1 is ready to print!

Great news from printing-house! I have just received news from t-drom, that all the files are OK and the printing process is starting. Until you see the finished issue, I'll post several artwork from it and you can also learn the news about HEHE! #1 in Gigantoblog.

These days we are together with JB, in the process of creating the material for the next issue of HEHE! The pencils and markers have taken fire and run to catch the Comicdom 2010, where the issue will be publicated and presented by Giganto. It's too early for final statements, but have you informed on any new. Stay tuned!!!

The 700 Machines - CD Art & Graphix

The last Autumn I made this cover for my friends The 700 Machines. I took the whole concept of the idea, illustration, logos, graphic design and by the poster. I tried to make as many machines could need to cover, but I do not ever counted. But certainly not 700 (hehe). Count on you!

If you like the good old and heavy sound of Detroit, with influences from Blues and Funk, then that's it!

COMICDOM Awards 2010

Uf! I'm still running... Before Christmas I finished these ten angry creatures for Comicdom Awards 2010 site. This year, the guys from Comicdom wanted to change few things (hmm... I think, all things) in the voting process and I became part of these changes by making the illustrations. I really enjoyed it!

The THING #11 (1995) - My First Comic

Since Today I start upload my Blog with my older comic project called "21st CENTURY #@!*% BOY". I was making it for alternative music fanzine "The THING" between 1995 - 1999 and it was my first ever serious comic.

The comic above published in issue #11 and inside you can find also a interview I gave to fanzine's publisher Dimitris "Jimbo" KATSOULAKOS (Hi Dimitris!).

In that first story, I didn't know what exactly to do, but I wanted simply to do something, anything. I didn't care what! Hope you enjoy it and maybe some people could remember "The THING" years.

Χωρίς πολλά-πολλά, να ξέρετε ότι η επίχρυση πεντάδα των Craftsmen! (Μιχάλης Διαλυνάς, Κώστας Κυριακάκης, Τάσος Μαραγκός, Tomek, Πέτρος Χριστούλιας) θα΄βρίσκεται στο στάδιο της Ελληνοαμερικανικής Ένωσης για έναν 2ωρο ολοζώντανο αγώνα και... όποιον πάρει ο χάρος!

PICTOPLASMA 2009 Berlin !!!

Πριν μιά βδομάδα γύρισα από το Βερολίνο όπου παρακολούθησα το PICTOPLASMA 2009. Το FESTIVAL OF NEW CHARACTER WORLDS διοργανώνεται κάθε 2 χρόνια από το PICTOPLASMA και περιλαμβάνει προβολές, παρουσιάσεις, workshops και character walk από καλλιτέχνες απ' όλο τον κόσμο. Πέρασα φανταστικά και προτείνω σ'όλους όσοι ασχολούνται με character design στο ελάχιστο, να μη το χάσουν την επόμενη φορά. Χαιρετώ τους Σταύρο και Άννι από το V-zine, τους οποίους γνώρισα εκεί και είχαμε την ευκαιρία να συζητάμε επί τόπου για το κάθε γεγονός. Δεν αφήσαμε "τίποτα" ασχολίαστο (HeHe!).


Στην είσοδο, οι Friends With You είχαν στήσει ένα fun park και...


...στο εσωτερικό υπήρχαν συγκρουόμενα σχεδιασμένα από γνωστούς καλλιτέχνες.



Δύο παρουσίες που μου έκαναν περισσότερο εντύπωση ήταν, η μία αυτή του Gaston Caba από την Αργεντινή, ο οποίος έκανε μία καταπληκτική παρουσίαση στην εξίσου καταπλικτική δουλειά του. Όταν ένα απόγευμα πήραμε τους δρόμους για το Characters Walk, και βρεθήκαμε στην gallerie όπου έκθεταν Αργεντίνοι illustrators, δεν δίστασα να αγοράσω μία μεταξοτυπία του και άλλη μία της Juliana Pedemonte.



Και η άλλη, ήταν του Marek Michalowski από το Pittsburgh U.S. ο οποίος κάνει διδακτορικό πάνω στην ρομποτική και μαζί με τον Hideki Kozima από την Ιαπωνία δημιουργήσανε τον Keepon, το κοτοπουλάκι. Είχα την ευκαιρία να μιλήσω μαζί του και αν μπείτε στο site τους, στο BeatBots, θα δείτε την καταπληκτική δουλειά που γίνεται πίσω από το κίτρινο αυτό πουλάκι.
